Karate

Karate is a Japanese martial art whose physical aspects seek the development of defensive and counterattacking body movements. The themes of traditional karate training are fighting and self-defence, though its mental and moral aspects target the overall improvement of the individual.

As part of The English Karate Federation, we hold our Karate Sessions for young people and children from 5yrs to 18 yrs old.

We hold several competitions and grading events throughout the year.

Gipton Together hold Karate Sessions at Henry Barran  Centre on Tuesdays from 7:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesdays from 5:00pm until 6:00pm and 6:00pm til 7:30pm
