Musical Theatre

Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humour, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through words, music, movements and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.

We incorporate Jazz dance moves into our Musical Theatre sessions and advise that students attend all 3 sessions that we deliver to engage fully with the content of the piece.

Gipton Together work towards putting on one full show per year as well as showcasing parts of our work in our Variety Shows and Galas.

Gipton Together hold Musical Theatre Sessions on Wednesdays from 7:00pm until 8:00pm
