Kashif of Gipton Boxing Club made an excellent start to his amateur career on Sharky's show at TJs in Woodhouse on Friday night. Kash boxed a skills contest against a well schooled fighter from Tiger's gym in Meanwood. Coaches Terry Kavanagh (pictured), Franco Fitzgerald (pictured) and Paul Daniel were in attendance and were very pleased with Kash's performance. Kash's next bout will be this Weds 16/10/19 at Seacroft Working Mens Club.

Well done to Finton Guy for winning your first bout!!!

Congratulations to Bob for training all of our wonderful young people.

We are proud of you!!

Kashif's First Bout

Gipton Amateur Boxing Club’s Kash Hussain had his first competitive bout on Sharky’s show in Hunslet on Saturday 14th December. The bout was competitive and Kash boxed very well, but the judges gave the win to his opponent, Sam Simpson from Catterick. Sharky was very complementary about Kash’s performance and invited him to box on his next show in January at TJs.

All of the Gipton coaches were in attendance along with Kash’s friends and family.

Well done Kash, we all look forward to seeing you in the gym and boxing again soon.

Jack Daniel won his 5th professional fight in style at the Leeds arena against a heavier Jamie Speight who was a veteran of over 50 fights. Jack started very strongly and scored a heavy knock-down(pictured) in the second round before going on to win 40-35 on points. Jack will be looking to build on this win with another bout soon.
